2008 Tryout Procedures

ALL:

Players should attend all designated tryout sessions for their respective age group.  If a player is unable to attend any session, the Tryout Director must be notified in advance.  Missing one or more tryout sessions could impact which team you ultimately are placed since the evaluators will have limited opportunity to evaluate your skills.

All players must wear white helmets, black breezers, matching socks and Mounds View colors of green, white and black during the entire tryout process.  Players who do not observe this dress code will not be allowed on the ice.

Girls:

Girls’ tryouts are posted by age group.  Girls’ tryouts will consist of two sessions after which the evaluators will select the teams.  Players will be assigned a color jersey and number upon check-in to the first tryout session.  They should use the same jersey for both tryout sessions.  Results will be posted on the Association web site.  U14 should see web site for updates as we are coordinating with other clubs for tryouts.

Boys:

Boys’ tryouts consist of four tryout dates.  Due to larger numbers, players have been divided into four groups.  For the first two session’s groups 1 and 3 will tryout together and groups 2 and 4 will be together.  You should have received a card in the mail with your group number.  The first two tryout dates and times are posted on this web.

Players will be assigned a color jersey and number upon check in at the first tryout date.  You will use the same jersey for the first two tryouts but MUST return your jersey after each session.  After the first two tryout sessions there will be a re-shuffle into an A and B group based upon evaluator’s scores.  Results of the re-shuffle will be posted on the web.

Players will be assigned a new jersey for the last two tryout dates.  Again, jerseys MUST be returned after each session.  The A group will be the earlier session for the last two tryout dates and the B group will be the second session.  Upon completion of tryouts, results will be posted on the web site.
